Pinstriping is the manual application of patterns and drawings, by means of special brushes and paints. In rare cases, a stencil is used to decorate the surface. The pinstriping painting technique is inherent in cars produced in the middle of the last century, classic motorcycles, choppers, bobbers, in general, in vehicles in which graceful smooth body lines can be emphasized.<br> <br> Kenny Howard (Von Dutch, 09/07/1929 - 09/19/1992) - the founder of pinstriping, a rebel and rowdy from Southern California. Vaughn Detsch began using pinstriping as a necessary fix for minor repairs to custom motorcycles, which was in high demand during the heyday of custom culture in the United States. Pinstriping has become a hallmark of Custom Culture.
