Description:
The Harley-Davidson Softail Cross Bones have an old-style design reminiscent of the single spring saddle, semicircular biker leg rests and interrupted front grille. Released in 2008. The motorcycle combines retro styling with the latest motorcycle technology from Harley. At the same time, the bike has a powerful modern stuffing: a Twin Cam 96B power train engine, 6-speed gearbox and a unique Softail suspension.

The name Softail derives from the motorcycle's rear suspension design, the swingarm of which retains the characteristics of a vintage rigid frame while still providing a soft and comfortable ride.

The bike's trim is up to the mark: The Harley-Davidson Softail Cross Bones have a sparkling springer front and other stylistic hints of post-war bobbers, such as a spring-loaded single seat, glossy black air cleaner cover, chopped front visor and semi-circular leg rests. Mini “horned” handlebars hang over two ingeniously designed fuel tanks, separated by a glossy cat-eye console that can house the speedometer and other gauges. Halfway to the tank, the chrome gives way to a hand-woven leather panel that disappears under the single spring seat. Thick front and rear tires give the bike a rather brutal look. But at the same time, he is a real handsome man.

The characteristic horseshoe-shaped oil tank with brand insignia is located under the seat. An exhaust system with chrome mufflers completes the look of this bike, and also dilutes the shades of black and other dark colors prevailing in other structural elements.
Although Cross Bones looks like an alien from a bygone era, its technical performance is quite consistent with the current century. It is powered by a 1584cc V-twin 96B twin-camshaft engine coupled to a six-speed cruise control transmission. The engine is powder coated in black, with polished tappets and valve covers and raw fins. The engine exhales through a straight exhaust with chrome-plated obliquely cut mufflers. The economy is about 6.7 l / 100 km in the city and 4.3 on the highway.
