Egg, Ovomorph is the very first stage of Alien development. This is where the Facehugger is located. The queen lays soft, leathery eggs, inside which a parasite develops, usually called the “Facehugger,” which can be compared to an insect larva, although the facehugger cannot be called a larva; the facehugger lays an embryo in the victims; it turns out that the ovimorph grows a walking egg on “legs.”

Alien is a 1979 science fiction horror film directed by Ridley Scott. The title refers to the film's main antagonist, the Alien, an extremely aggressive alien creature that hunts down and kills the crew of a spaceship.
Dan O'Bannon introduced Ridley Scott to the works of Hans Rudolf "Rudy" Giger!; both of them felt that his painting of Nekron IV was exactly the image they wanted to present as the film's antagonist. At first, 20th Century Fox thought that Giger's work was too scary for the public, but the Brandywine studio insisted. Gordon Carroll said, "The first second Scott saw Giger's work, he knew that the design's biggest problem, perhaps the film's biggest problem, had been solved." Scott flew to Zurich to meet with Giger and approved all of his work: the environment, the surface of a planetoid, an abandoned spaceship, all four forms of the Alien, from egg to adult.
